Friday’s Letters

Photobucket

Dear Gibson: You got your summer haircut finished up today and you look like a totally different puppy now…almost like a teddy bear actually. It will take a little getting used to, but you’re still my little dog. You love to play and chew on towels and eat as much fruit as we’ll give you. I love having you in my life. Dear Chris: This weight-loss journey that we’ve been on together has brought us so much closer that we’ve ever been and I’m grateful for it on so many levels. I’ve never felt better physically and I know that my emotional health is getting better too. Thank you for being my partner in this…and in life. I love you to life. Dear Kacy (my credit union boss): Thank you for seeing the good in me that I sometimes have a hard time seeing for myself and for making me acknowledge it. Our conversation was more powerful than you’ll know.  Dear Summertime: I am so glad you’re here and I hope to embrace you and enjoy you to the full. Dear Jillian Michaels: Your 30 day shred is kicking my butt! And I love it! Dear Dad: I am so sorry that you are in so much pain from your shoulder surgery. I hope that you heal well and heal fast. We’ll come visit soon. Miss you! Peace. Dear Lime-a-Ritas: You are my newest summer treat with a kick. So bad, but so good. Dear Russian class: you are going to be sooo hard, but I’m glad we’ve begun and I’m grateful for all I’ve already learned. Dear Project Life: this is my new favorite way to chronical our life and I am so enjoying it. I haven’t been able to take pictures of my pages to share yet, but I am working hard at creating pages. Love this style of documentation. Hoping to share more soon! Dear Kris: I just totally love working for you. I hope we can keep this going for a long, long time. Thanks for letting me write my first article for our website! Dear Readers: Can you believe its almost August already? I am looking forward to blogging more this month and sharing more inspiring ways to celebrate the everyday. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Dear Chris: This morning on the phone you told me that you missed me, even though we’d only been apart a couple hours…it made me feel so loved. Dear Mom: I’m so sorry that your dear friend Hazel passed away. I will miss hearing stories about your visits with her. She was such a kind-hearted woman. Dear Weather: Thank you for pretending that its March instead of December. Its been so nice lately, and I’m glad there is no snow sticking yet. This is my kind of winter! Dear Chelsey: Thank you for asking me to be your duet partner for your karaoke competition. I loved singing with you and had so  much fun. (YouTube video of our duet here). Dear Neighborhood Kids: Why do you have to line up for the school bus in front of my house? I don’t have any kids for a reason, and I don’t appreciate your screaming and carrying on every morning. Seriously? Line up somewhere else! Dear Instagram: This song is the funniest thing I saw online this week, and I think I laughed harder because I’m guilty of taking so many of those pictures!! Dear Saturday Morning: You are my favorite thing lately…getting to spend you with my husband, having breakfast together and then going out in service. Not working Saturdays is so amazing. Dear Marta: I am so glad you asked me to come along to assist on your glamour shoot last week. I had fun doing hair and make-up and making everyone laugh and feel relaxed. I think we make a good team. Dear Rum and Coke: Get in my belly!! Have a great weekend friends!!

Dear Chris: I am so proud of you and was blown away by how well you did this week on your very first Russian Bible reading. So excited to be learning with you and working on this together. Dear Credit Union: I feel at home within your walls and I am so happy that this job worked out. I have training today and all of next week in Spokane and I think its going to be great to really immerse myself in the Credit Union world and develop the skills I’ll need to be great at my job. Dear Mom: I’m sorry that my new work schedule has kept us from visiting everyday. I hope we can visit soon. I miss you. Dear Car: let’s pretend that I had the time to get your oil changed before my trip, k? Dear Friends: I need some new music to listen to while on my little road trip to training. Suggestions?? Dear New Co-Workers: Thanks for making me feel welcome and like a valuable part of the team. Dear April (my old co-worker): I miss visiting and working with you, but I promise to keep in touch. You and your family are very special to us. Dear Photoshoot: I am squeezing you in this Sunday afternoon and I really need you to go well. Hopefully the during the drive I’ll be able to focus and be inspired and have some great ideas come to me. Dear Phone: I think that its time we part ways…its been a great 2 years, but this whole not working thing is really putting a cramp in my style, and my internet connectivity. Dear Perfect-Pair-of-Pants: Where are you? Can you do your best to find me this week? I really need something to wear to work. K, thanks, bye. Dear Husband: thank you so much for all you’ve done this month, and this week especially with keeping the house clean and cooking and making me laugh when I’m stressed. Your support has meant so much through this transition period and while I’ve been making the adjustments and still keeping my prior commitments. You are the best partner and I so appreciate you and all you do. Love you to life. Dear Blog Readers: Thanks for sticking around while things have been a little sparse here. Once I get used to my new schedule things will get back to normal. I hope you all have a great weekend! Leave me a comment and tell me how you’ve been. Smile

Dear Auditors: Thank you for deciding to stay at our main location instead of coming to my office too. I know others might be upset and think that all the work was done for nothing, but I’ve never heaved a bigger sigh of relief then when I got the news. I celebrated and slept good last night. Dear Fall TV Shows: So excited that you’re back! (at least those on HULU). And thank you Parenthood’s first episode for making me cry big ugly tears. Dear Firmoo.com glasses: I am in love with my first pair and am eagerly awaiting my second pair. I’ve got pictures and a post planned to share soon to tell you all about them. First pair free guys…how cool is that? Dear Sister Megan: I’m so glad you guys are coming to visit this weekend. I’m really looking forward to some sister time. And your baking. Always look forward to your baking! Dear Gas Prices: you are ridiculous. I almost have no words, except that I hate you. Dear trip to Whidbey Island: I am really looking forward to you and some time for relaxation. Hopefully I’ll survive the drive okay and be able to enjoy the weekend. Dear Husband: thank you for putting up with me these last few weeks while I’ve been under so much stress. Hopefully everything will get back to normal soon. You’re so kind, and I really couldn’t function without you. Love you to life.

Dear Google Reader: You have over 1000 unread blog posts…I think I’m going to click “mark all as read” and continue forward. I know you’re full of awesome, inspiring content from bloggers I love who see the world in a special way, but I can’t let you keep me from seeing my world too. Dear Skype: Thank you for allowing me to keep in touch with my close friends even though we’re on separate sides of the continent. Dear Verizon Wireless: I appreciate that you replaced Chris’ phone for us. Hopefully the new one will work correctly and be worth the money we spend every month. Dear Kara: Thank you for your art journaling class Play That Song. I love how your mind works and how good you are at teaching and inspiring. I can’t wait to keep working on my journal. Dear Mpix.com: I was so excited for you 50% off on 4x6’s sale! I was able to get some pictures of Chris and I printed to share with our friends. Dear Marta: Thank you for taking the pictures of us. I just love them.  Dear Husband: Every day that goes by that I get to spend by your side is a gift. I am thankful for how close we’ve become and that we’re friends first, because true love comes from deep friendship. You are my true love.

Dear Dr. Dominguez: You are my new favorite doctor in the whole world, and yeah that might sound a little crazy, but that’s how I feel. You really listened to me and cared about me as a person and made me glad that I went to a specialist. Looking forward to my follow-up with you in 6-8 weeks. Dear Mama Longstreet: Thank you for coming with me to my appointment. I was glad to not be there alone and your support means so much to me. Also, the Costco shopping trip completely saved us this month. You guys are so kind. Dear Hannah: Thank you for always having time to fit me in for my hair cut and color and for your generosity. I love the shape of my hair right now, and Chris keeps complimenting me, so it must be a good style! And I’m really loving my gel nails…we’ll have to do that again too. Dear Dad: Thanks for stopping to visit me yesterday on your way through town. It literally made my day. Dear Alt Classes: I have learned so much from the 3 classes I’ve taken so far, and made some great new connections online. Looking forward to implementing what I’ve learned and growing my blog. Dear Milk of Magnesia: You are the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope this plan of attack works and I’m able to regulate things with my system. This first couple weeks will be a little rough, but hopefully the end result will be me feeling like my old self again. Welcome to my everyday. Dear Second Part-Time Job: I’m excited to be a “girl friday” and learn from one of the smartest women I know. And hopefully take care of some medical bills in the process. Dear Husband: You are so kind to me, and I appreciate the little things you do…like barbequing chicken and rescuing me when I vacuumed sealed shut the salad dressing I was making Wednesday night. You made me feel so loved. This life is better because I share it with you.signature

Dear Late Nights: Its nice to meet you again…I just love blog designing in your company. Dear New Office Lights: you make my space complete! I’m so glad I have a handy electrician friend who came and installed you for me. Dear Best Friend Kelly’s Baby: I’m so eager to meet you and find out if you’re a boy or a girl. Its time to come say hello to the world…you’re past your due date! Dear White Nail Polish: thank you for making my opaque Essie polish look good. You’re a lifesaver. Dear Spider in the Garage: please stay in the garage and don’t come in my house! Dear Husband: thank you for killing the huge spider in the garage. And for loving me.

Friday's Letters

Today I'm trying something new and linking up with Adventures of Newlyweds for her Friday's Letters. I've always been a letter writer (like I for real had 37 pen pals as a teenager), and I thought this might be something fun to try here on the blog sometimes.

Dear June: How are you already half over? I'm glad we made a Summer Manifesto so we don't miss out on any more of you. Dear 5 Year Anniversary: You will be here in week and I'm so excited to celebrate our marriage and our love. Dear Blog: Thank you for helping me make new friends and connections online and for helping me remember to celebrate the everyday. Dear Blog Design Clients: I am having so much fun creating for you and can't wait to reveal your new online homes. Dear Mom: I wish we lived closer and I could get a hug whenever I needed one. Dear Windows Live Writer: This is my first time posting on my blog with you, and I hope it works! Cuz you could really make formatting a lot easer on my blog! Thanks for the recommendation Jenni. Dear Husband: I can’t believe how fast these years have gone by, but I love you more each day and look forward to sharing everyday of the rest of our lives together.
