October: Currently

Oct-Currently

grateful for the countdown of days before I start my new job.
loving working on a brand new MacBook Pro. Its not mine to keep, but still fun to work on.
listening to the HULU shows I am behind on watching as background noise while I work.
drinking water, water and more water…but thinking about getting a coffee.
wearing a sweater for the first time this season.
feeling eager to begin.
eating leftover pasta from yesterday.
waiting for Chris to get off work and come give me a hug.
working hard at training the new girl as best I can before I leave.
thinking about all the doors this new job opens to me.
happy that my sister Megan came for one last visit this weekend before she leaves for Australia.
excited about new design inquiries and customers added to my queue.
enjoying my second to last quiet afternoon alone in the office.
needing to finish editing the maternity pictures I took on Saturday.  I think I got some really cute ones and I can’t wait to share.
accepting that things work out for the best when you leave them in God’s hands.
wanting to remember to savor the ending.
remembering that ‘every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end."

  1. I am so with you on the MacBook Pro! My boyfriend combined all birthday/Christmas/anniversary presents for the next five years and got me one. I'm addicted! Glad everything is going well with you.

  2. I definitely like to have shows on in the background. I feel like I can totally keep up on what's going on, but it annoys people. I'm a multi-tasker, what can I say?

    1. Totally with you on that!! And I just don't have the time to sit and actually watch them without doing something else too. :P

  4. Ah yes the Macbook Pro. I love mind and it's tough to use a pc these days. What is your new job? I'm a bit behind.
What am I doing today? Reviewing some poetry before I send it to the publisher. Trying to make myself do something besides writing poetry today. Grateful that the sun is out and our smoke has cleared!

    1. Pam I didn't know that you wrote poetry, and that you're getting published?! That's amazing. You'll have to share sometime. I would love to read it.
My new job is at a local credit union, and everything fell together so perfectly it could only have been Jehovah's direction.
I think rain is on its way, and that should help with the smoke too. Been thinking of you guys!! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

    1. If you do get one, ask my how to scroll. It took me 20 minutes to figure out and I'd love to save you the trouble. :P haha.

  6. I didn't know Meg and Siyani were moving to Australia. How long are they going for?

    1. I don't know all the details, but I think Siyani got a work visa, so however long that lasts. They should have a great time travelling. I know how much you and Kelly love to travel together. :) I'm excited for them.

  7. I want a macbook pro like nobodies business! I have actually never used a mac - but I know I would love it. PC's are so 2002. Or something like that. Good luck at your new job tomorrow.

    1. I am honestly thinking that I will always be a PC girl. Perhaps is just that I keep having to go back and forth between the Mac and the PC, but it for real took me 20 minutes to figure out how to scroll. Like really?! Once I got it I was like: "oh that makes sense." But it took me forever. And I felt stupid. And I hate feeling stupid. :P Anyway, its been fun but I don't know if I'd ever buy one for myself. I will try to get as proficient as possible on it for work though.

My first 2 days at work went so so well. I feel like I'm really going to fit it good with the team I'll be working with, and my boss is very gracious and appreciative. Makes me feel like I'm worthwhile even though I've mostly just been shadowing so far.

      Have a great weekend friend!
