Giveaway: 52weeks Book

One of the greatest lessons I learned about celebrating the everyday came back in 2010.  That year I embarked on this project:  52 weeks: a poem and a self-portrait for every week of the year.  I blogged my poems and portraits along the way and at the end of the year turned my project into a book on  This project taught me so much...about myself, about photography, about life and how I cope with trauma, revelations, love and joy.  Its a part of me that I'm honored to share with the world.  I am more than that girl  now, but only because of her.

This book is my heart on paper.  And I would love to share a bit of myself with you.  One of you will win a copy of my 52weeks book.  Here is a little sneak peek at what you'll be receiving.

And if you don't win you can always purchase a copy! ;)  It is available through HERE in either soft or hard cover.  I'm pretty proud of it.

  8. My project started in 1996 and continues to this very day... I promised a family email to relatives in several states, every night. I send them out late night and many say they get their morning coffee and head for their computers to read the latest family email. That keeps me going. I've been the bearer of tragic, sad news as well as happy, exciting family news. Most of the time it is a pure joy to write my nightly email, but there have been those emotional, heart wrenching moments when I struggle for the right words, always keeping in mind the feelings of others...
I'ts been 14 years now and I'm still at it. Once my service went down and my email wasn't able to be sent. I got several phone calls the next morning checking to see if I was still alive. ha!
How long will I continue? As long as I can! :)

    1. This is an incredible story and project. Thank you so much for sharing a little bit with us here today. You're an inspiration.
