Coffee Date Friday

Hello Friends! I can’t believe its already Friday again…this week went by so fast! But I’m excited to be linking up with Rags to Stitches for Coffee Date again this week. My plan is to try and do a new coffee date vlog every other Friday. Which means I film them on Thursday. But I didn’t really have myself together enough to do it Thursday morning, but I still tried while I was at work. Glad to join you all for coffee today.

So here is my second vlog ever. I did a lot of rambling, and probably tried to talk about too many things after worrying that I didn’t have anything to talk about. Oh well…enjoy!

Thoughts on my second vlog: I really need to write down some ideas ahead of time, cuz this was pretty ridiculous! Smile with tongue out  But this is pretty much the real me: I laugh a lot, I exaggerate, I text my mom a ton, I really do love my new job and I think its pretty awesome that I have enough free time at my current job to do a vlog! And then blog the post for it too.

So, what kind of coffee do you drink?
Do you have any questions for me that I could answer next time?

  1. I love my coffee! I'm a very frugal shopper...I use coupons and buy things on sale, etc. BUT, when it comes to my coffee, I have to have my Dunkin' Donuts!! I actually order it on autoship from their website, 5 pounds of whole beans at a time. It's cheaper than buying it at the store, but still a little pricey. It's my splurge, though, so I'm OK with that. :) I have my coffee with half & half and a little bit (half a packet) of Splenda. I also love McDonald's coffee. I wish they would sell their beans b/c I would switch! OH, and if I go out, I love a mocha. I fell in love with the salted caramel mochas at Starbucks a while back, so that's my go-to drink there.

I know you're enjoying the convention right now. Can't wait to hear what you thought of it!!

    1. I've never ever had Dunkin' Donuts...but I have heard great things about their coffee. :) And I think its worth the money to have good coffee beans. Coffee is important. And the salted caramel is amazing, eh?
I am so enjoying the convention so far. My favorite laugh moment was when the brother called it a subdivision instead of a symposium. :P We'll have to chat about it after.

    1. Thanks so much! I have a ton of fun playing with my hair. My cousin Hannah is my stylist and we've had fun trying new things and ideas for a few years now. My hair grows so fast, so its easy to change and take pictures and share on my blog. Its fun to see the progression.
I'm looking forward to blog brunch too. Last month was my first one, and I enjoyed it so much! It is a great discussion topic. :)

  3. Shaina!

You are the CUTEST! Seriously, I loved watching this video blog! I just watched your first one as well and I can totally relate to how strange it is to talk to the camera. Trust me, it gets MUCH easier with time. I've been video blogging for the past year now, but it took me a LONG time to be able to feel comfortable with it and I actually only just started being able to do it every week. It's a huge commitment but really pays off with being able to connect to people on a more "real" level. ANYWAYS I'm rambling. This video was awesome, so was your last one. It's fun because it really does feel like I'm sitting next to you and like we're just having a nice coffee date together. Love it.

Anyways, to answer your question - I'm not a huge coffee lover. My boyfriend is, though, and I just bought him a beautiful cappuccino machine for his birthday which he LOVES. So sometimes I'll wake up early and make him his cup of cappuccino and because of this, for some reason I've become more open to the idea of liking coffee. So, sometimes I also find myself drinking one :). Other than that I'm normally a tea drinker, like your mom said. But I am from England so that may have something to do with it ;)

Thanks so much for your video, you seem so cheery and grateful and lovely. You rock.
Can't wait for the next video! xoxo

    1. Thank you so much Alex! I just popped over to your blog to see your vlogs and I LOVE it!! You seem like my kind of girl...loving life and sharing inspiration. So glad you commented so that we could connect. I'll try another vlog again in a couple weeks. I've had a lot of fun with it for sure. A different way to connect with my friends and readers.
And a cappuccino machine!?? That's awesome. I would love one in my own home. :) He's a lucky guy!

  4. I don't actually drink coffee; I add so much cream, flavor, and sugar to it that it's pointless. I would probably just have a soda lol.

I also wish that there were bloggers around me that I could have coffee dates with, so I get that :)

As for questions for next time: I see on the side that you like Nancy Drew, what's your favorite Nancy Drew book?

    1. LOVE your question suggestion for next vlog!! I'd love to talk about my Nancy Drew collection. :)
And you're the first one to mention email RSS. I'll have to figure out how to do that and get back to you. Thanks for the suggestion.
