A summer adventure

SummerManifesto-postimage

This summer Chris and I have created a manifesto so that we remember to do all the things we want to this summer and make new memories together. We came up with a lot of fun things to incorporate. And this week we took one and turned it into an evening adventure.

LAKE

We decided to go night swimming at the lake! We had dinner, watched a movie and then decided spontaneously to just go. So glad we did.

It was a quiet night on the lake…we watched the sun go down on the drive over and had the swimming section to ourselves. We swam around in the (cold to Chris, I’m Canadian remember Winking smile) water and watched the moon rise over the lake. And took some pictures to remember of course.

We’re happy for a new summer memory, and checking something off of our list. Look for upcoming posts sharing more of what we’ve been up to this summer and how our manifesto is looking!

Did you make a summer manifesto this year?
Have you completed anything on it yet?
What is your favorite summer adventure?

  2. Ahh hooray that looks so fun! I'm in Austin for the summer, I live in Dallas for school, and I'm from Houston, so I made it my mission to do all kinds of fun Austin-y things! We went to the natural springs pool here (Barton Springs, look up pictures and you'll see how gorgeous it is!), among other things, like trying restaurants and seeing touristy things.

It's been fun and I'm so glad I put together a list of everything I wanted to do! It's hard to believe the summer's almost over now.

    1. Making a list is such a helpful idea!! We're totally getting more out of our summer because of it, and it sounds like you are too. That natural springs pool looks amazing!

  3. Aaw what cute photos! I think I'd be too scared to swim in a lake. What if something bit my foot???

    1. That would totally freak me out! I just can't think about it while swimming. The thing I hate the most about swimming in lakes is when there are lots of weeds. Fortunately this lake didn't have any in the swimming section! Phew. I hate that!

  5. So fun! I would be terrified to swim in the lake at night. Dusk I could do, but pitch black, it would freak me out not being able to see what's underneath me!

    1. I just can't think about it like that, or I probably couldn't do it either. :P The great thing about night swimming is that there was no one else there AND I didn't get a sunburn!! ;)
